Stan is a seasoned professional with an extensive background in the Tourism industry. With more than 30 years of experience, Stan began his career working alongside his parents in the family adventure business and later took on the role of Adventure Tourism Advisor and Consultant for Fogo Island Inn, contributing his expertise to one of Newfoundland’s most renowned destinations.
Stan is widely recognized for his significant contributions to the tourism industry in Newfoundland and Labrador. He has played a key role in developing sustainable tourism practices, always striving to protect the province’s natural and cultural heritage. He recently developed and hosted Atlantic Canada’s first Impact Sustainable Tourism conference. He has chaired the Gros Morne Institute of Sustainable Tourism for 26 years.
